Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password, stored in encrypted and hashed form. We never store your password in plain text.

Order information. When you place an order, we collect your name, shipping address, billing address, phone number, and order details (products and quantities). Payment card information is collected and processed directly by Authorize.net, our payment processor. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers.

Communications. If you contact us through our contact form or by email, we collect the information you provide, including your name, email address, and the contents of your message.

Customer photo submissions. If you voluntarily submit a photo for display on our customer photos page, we collect that image and any caption or name you choose to include.

Automatically collected information. Like most websites, we and our service providers may collect certain information automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited, typically through cookies and similar technologies. This is generally used to keep the cart and checkout functioning correctly and to understand site traffic.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process and fulfill your orders, including calculating accurate shipping rates and applicable sales tax

• Communicate with you about your order (confirmations, shipping updates, warranty and return correspondence)

We do not send marketing emails or promotional newsletters. Emails we send are limited to those necessary for your order, account, or a request you have made.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as needed to operate the Site and fulfill orders, including with:

• Authorize.net, to process payments
• USPS, to calculate shipping rates and deliver your order
• Our sales tax calculation provider, to determine applicable state and local sales tax
• Our website hosting provider, to operate and secure the Site
• Our email delivery provider, to send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates)

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Dan Designs Things, our customers, or others.

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights under applicable state privacy laws (such as the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, or similar laws in other states) to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, or to opt out of certain uses.

The Site is intended for use by individuals 18 years of age or older, consistent with our Terms of Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including relying on the secure, PCI-compliant payment processing of Authorize.net so that full card details never pass through our own servers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
